Information you provide
When you create an account, we process your email address and authentication information. When you use the service, we store the destination URLs, short-link names, labels, and status settings you choose.
Information recorded when a short link is visited
To provide click reporting, a visit may include the time of the click, referring page, browser or device description, device category, and approximate country or city.
A visitor’s network address is transformed into a one-way identifier before storage. The raw address is not kept in the click record. Approximate location may be unavailable or inaccurate.
How information is used
- To create and redirect short links.
- To provide account access and protect private workspace pages.
- To display click totals, trends, sources, devices, and approximate locations.
- To prevent abuse, investigate errors, and maintain service reliability.
Cookies
LinkGID uses a necessary sign-in cookie to keep an authenticated user connected to the private workspace. It is not used for advertising.
Sharing and service partners
Information may be processed by account, database, hosting, and infrastructure partners that help operate the service. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or during a business transfer.
Retention and deletion
Link and click records remain available until they are deleted by an authorized user or removed under the operator’s retention policy. Deleting a short link also deletes the click history connected to it.
Your choices
Authorized users can update or delete links from the workspace. For account access, deletion, or privacy questions, use the support page.
Security
Reasonable safeguards are used to protect account and campaign information. No service can guarantee absolute security, so never place passwords, private keys, or confidential personal information inside link labels or destinations.
